Free Download Film Flash Of Genius Actress: The Emotional Journey of Phyllis Kearns in the Movie

Flash of Genius is a 2008 American biographical drama film directed by Marc Abraham. Philip Railsback wrote the screenplay based on a 1993 New Yorker article by John Seabrook.[2] The story focuses on Robert Kearns (played by Greg Kinnear) and his legal battle against the Ford Motor Company after they developed an intermittent windshield wiper based on ideas the inventor had patented. The film's title comes from the phrase "flash of genius" (like "stroke of genius"), which is patent law terminology that was in effect from 1941 to 1952, although Kearns's patent was filed in 1964; it held that the inventive act must come into the mind of an inventor as a kind of epiphany, and not as the result of tinkering.

The phrase "flash of genius" refers to that moment of epiphany when an inventor discerns a crucial connection that -- hopefully -- leads to an important discovery. In FLASH OF GENIUS, Robert "Bob" Kearns' (Greg Kinnear) moment comes while driving with his family in the rain in the 1960s. Wondering why his windshield wipers, which had only one speed, couldn't work more like an eyelid -- blinking fast or slow as necessary -- the engineering professor and father of six sets out to solve the problem, eventually building an intermittent wiper. He and his friend Gil (Dermot Mulroney) try to sell the invention to Ford Motor Company, and a deal seems imminent. But at the last minute -- after Kearns gives them some valuable information about his gadget -- they decline. Then one day Kearns spies Ford's newest cars shimmying down the road, intermittent wipers working full-time. Kearns is convinced the behemoth company stole his idea and sets out to right the wrong. But at what cost?

But the film lacks, well, genius. As David-and-Goliath tales go, it's no Rocky. The characters feel flimsy and one-dimensional; had they been rendered more fully and less after school-special-like, the movie would have been far more compelling. (Kearns, after all, did neglect his family; why are they so forgiving? Were they in real life?) As it is, Flash of Genius, while it scores high on the feel-good factor, is a little flat and a lot unsurprising.

Mr. KINNEAR: (Actor) I'll tell you, my flash of genius is when I finished the script. But when I finished it, I felt like, oh, man, do I know this guy? And I don't know how, I don't know what to apply that to. There was some element of him that reminded me of my father. You know, he's an outsider. I've always felt that way to some degree in, you know, the business I work in, oddly enough. And, I don't know, it's just a lot of the mechanisms that made up this guy felt familiar to me. And I - in spite of, again, some of those humans flaws that we all have - I wanted what was best for Kearns.

Now that streaming services like Netflix and Hulu are so popular, it's hard to find movies available for download. Although some services let you save movies for offline viewing, you can't actually store their files on your USB drive. This wikiHow teaches you how to download movies (legally) from the internet and save them to your removable flash drive.

Step 2: Next, select a film or show that you want to download, and open the video details. Note that not all Amazon Prime movies or TV shows are available for download, and you can only download content if you are in certain areas (the U.S., for example). If it's a series, you can choose to download individual episodes or full seasons.

The amount of storage needed for a file depends on its quality. We downloaded the film Moonfall at the Best quality setting and it took up 1GB of storage on an iPhone, while at Better quality (the second-lowest), it took up 535MB. Alternately, season 1 of Upload, 10 episodes in all, took up 2.6GB when downloaded on Best quality.

Any great director has fans and detractors, lovers and haters. But few filmmakers inspire division as extreme as comic book, movie maestro, Zack Snyder. Frivolous hack, or pop art genius? Stylist without substance, or masterful cinematic storyteller?

In this story: A life ends A relationship begins Good cast RELATED SITESBy Reviewer Paul Clinton(CNN) -- "Return To Me" is a sweet, whimsical, contemporary fairy tale set in modern-day Chicago starring David Duchovny and Minnie Driver as the romantic leads. It's also the feature-film directing debut of actress Bonnie Hunt, who additionally co-wrote the screenplay and co-stars in the film as Driver's best friend.

Duchovny, known for his role on TV's "The X-Files," stars as Bob Rueland, an architect who's trying to reassemble his life after his wife is killed. Played by Joely Richardson, she dies 20 minutes into the movie in a car crash. During the time preceding her demise the film flashes back and forth to a hospital room where Driver, starring as Grace Briggs, is on her last legs. She's waiting for a heart transplant.

His best buddy, played by an over-eager David Alan Grier, fixes him up with a blind date from hell. In a wonderful turn, Hunt's friend, actress Holly Worthell, plays that date, stealing scenes with an over-the-top, delightful performance. If you see the trailer or promotional spots for the film, she's the one who tells Duchovny his "ass is ringing."

Pure genius! The great Buster Keaton and the outstanding cinematography makes this one of my all-time favorite films (short or long)! This is a rare find and somewhat pricey to own. What a wonderful gesture to offer it here! I could not be more appreciative! 2ff7e9595c
